Built in 1854, and still containing many original features, this historical hotel boasts the most spectacular views of the south coast of the Island. The position is perfect for Shanklin Old and New towns and overlooks Shanklin esplanade and the beach. Shanklin Old and new towns also offer a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants all within walking distance. Being situated on the edge of the famous cliff path it also is ideally situated for a leisurely stroll or a full cliff walk for the more enthusiastic.
The famous Shanklin Chine is in Shanklin Old Village, a 10 min walk. The hotel offers an excellent central location to all the great Isle of Wight attractions. With 2 car parks, it has ample car parking facilities. However, the local bus stops are within easy walking distance.
Our heated swimming pool and games room (inc. a full size snooker table) is exclusively for residents use.
